There are various types of utilities such as formatting a diskette, scan disk, defragmentation, virus and antivirus.

When you format a disk, you divide the disk in tracks and sectors. When formatting you erase any data you saved in your computer.

Scandisk checks your disk for any errors faults.

Defragmentation is when you organise your files in the hard disk to make your computer works faster.

Hardware are the physical units that make up a computer system, in other words, all those units that can be seen and touched such as monitors and hard disks.

Input is the process of entering data into the computer. Some input devices are keyboards, mouses and scanners.



   









Output is data that has been processed into a used form, called information. Some output devices are printers, monitors and speakers.
